Jessica and Keshal got married in Central Park’s Ladies Pavilion on June 11th, 2021 while everyone was still adjusting to life in the age of COVID caution. It was a time where we were not quite post-COVID and not quite in the thick of the pandemic fear. While an intimate elopement wasn’t in their original wedding plans, these college sweethearts decided to just go for it and get married alongside their immediate family in the city where they only recently called home.

Jess and Keshal chose our semi-personalized City Hall Love wedding ceremony experience. What you’ll notice is that even our semi-personalization has that unexpected personal touch. Here’s an excerpt of their wedding ceremony:

“Like many modern couples, marriage could wait and it did. You had a lot of growing up to do still and you were happy to do it together. You were both overjoyed that you met someone who gets you and loves you whole.

Throughout college and as you each figured out your next steps and careers, you decided to stick together because you knew you had a complimentary dynamic that was worth the risk.

And it was in all that adulting that you both realized that while you’re each superbly awesome on your own; together, you’re simply better. So, marriage was never really an IF; it was always more a matter of WHEN.

Keshal, Jess, that when is NOW. You stand before your favorite person - your best friend full of gratitude for who they are, for who you are with them, and for all that you share eager to make your marriage your own. You enter matrimony without pretenses or illusions. Instead you forge ahead with faith in yourselves and your union and lots of excitement for all that’s to come.”

As always, we love to include some pop culture references that resonate with the couples we marry. For Jess and Keshal, that’s a bit of Parks and Rec. This excerpt of their wedding ceremony was shared right before they were officially pronounced married!

“Keshal and Jess, it’s been two years here in NYC. It is where you live and work and made a home all your own. It is here where you grew as a couple and as individuals, and while your time in the big Apple will one day soon come to an end, you’ll never forget it!

So, allow yourselves to capture the sentiments behind how you feel about everything that has brought you to this point through the wise words from our infamous Liberatarian friend, Ron Swanson. You know, the Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec, “if you don’t believe in love, what’s the point of living. And I regret nothing. The end.”
